CLEVELAND, OH—Nov. 3, 2021—Dix & Eaton announced today the promotions of Angela Almasy and Nicolle Huffman to vice president and Kayla Pretzer to account executive, effective October 1.
“Angela, Nicolle and Kayla are each significant contributors to our team and have continued to grow as professionals, providing high-value counsel to our clients,” said Dix & Eaton CEO Chas Withers. “They each bring distinctive experience and expertise, go above and beyond as trusted partners and model our core values every day.”
Almasy is a leader within the firm’s national ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and Sustainability practice, assisting clients on how to best tell their corporate/social responsibility story to investors and other stakeholders, while also acting as a strategic advisor on how to continuously progress and advance their programs.
Huffman collaborates with clients to assess communications needs, develop strategies, implement tactics and proactively measure results against goals as a leader within the Marketing Communications practice. Using advanced digital and project management skills, she has helped brands develop customer-friendly websites, advertising campaigns, media relations efforts and more.
Pretzer has been involved with client work across the firm’s practice areas and supports the organization’s social media marketing efforts. She specializes in media relations, social media strategy and analytics as well as research.
About Angela Almasy
Angela Almasy joined Dix & Eaton in 2014 as an assistant account executive after completing an internship with the firm. She quickly moved up to account executive and held two additional roles with progressive levels of responsibility before being promoted to her current position of vice president. Prior to joining Dix & Eaton, Almasy interned with Edelman in Chicago, where she focused on food and nutrition communications. Almasy holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from The University of Akron and a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication with a concentration in public relations from Kent State University.
About Nicolle Huffman
Nicolle Huffman joined Dix & Eaton in 2014 as an account executive. She held two additional roles with progressive levels of responsibility before being promoted to her current position of vice president.
Nicolle joined the firm from PPG Industries, where she managed various internal communication initiatives, helped develop the company’s community affairs strategy, managed the foundation budget and served as a point of contact for external partners. Huffman graduated cum laude from Baldwin Wallace University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and minors in Spanish and entrepreneurship.
About Kayla Pretzer
Kayla Pretzer joined Dix & Eaton as an assistant account executive in January following an extended internship with the firm. Pretzer has been heavily involved in media relations efforts, research and analytics projects, social media and sustainability communications. She has experience with Google Analytics, Google Data Studio and Meltwater and supports the firm’s social media marketing.
Pretzer graduated magna cum laude from The University of Akron with a dual degree in public relations and Spanish with a minor in marketing.
