National media relations for extending health insurance coverage
Minneapolis-based UnitedHealth Group, a leading health care insurer, led a unified effort among 60 of the nation’s largest employers to provide health insurance coverage to millions of Americans – many of whom actually had jobs but couldn’t afford coverage – through Affordable Solutions.
Dix & Eaton worked closely with the HR Policy Association (HRPA) to develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan to raise national awareness of this issue and to spotlight Affordable Solutions as part of the solution.
With well-coordinated media outreach at the World Health Care Conference in Washington, D&E garnered largely positive news coverage in a broad range of major national media, including The New York Times and CNN. The media coverage was then packaged and sent to elected officials to further position UnitedHealth Group as a healthcare solution.
