Forest City Enterprises, Inc., an $11.7 billion publicly traded national real estate company, wanted to improve its ability to differentiate itself with investors, associates, customers and partners.
Key to Dix & Eaton’s approach was the creation of a positioning platform focused on Forest City’s unique, mixed-use and public-private partnership expertise. The corresponding messaging was played out in a new Web site, the company’s first-ever corporate capabilities brochure, the annual report and other communication vehicles, both internal and external.
D&E’s work also included the redesign of Forest City’s communication function, resulting in a new organizational structure and staff positions, the first companywide identity standards, and the creation of a communicators network.
