Building on a Legacy

Back in 1952, John Dix and Henry Eaton had dreams that were not much bigger than their cramped little office.  Certainly, neither could have imagined what their partnership would become.

The industry’s largest employee-owned firm, named the best of all its “mid-size” peers twice in a row...  Long-term, high-impact relationships with a roster of world-class organizations...   A team of professionals whose collective experience exceeds that of firms many times its size.

John and Henry did more than create a business.  They created a culture and an ethos that attract clients and professionals to the firm, and fostered an environment where both can excel in partnership with each other.  They knew that a successful organization is one where the firm’s people and its clients enjoy both the results and the process of working together.  Where each trusts and respects the other.  Where both talent and humanity are revered.

The legacy that Dix & Eaton thrives on today traces back to the wobbly first steps of those two young executives.  The success we have enjoyed is a credit not just to John and Henry, but to the strength and wisdom contributed by all the men and women who have been part of the D&E family, and to all the clients who have demonstrated their confidence in us and given us the opportunities to do and learn so much.
